Berber women have been hand weaving textiles since 600 BC, handing down their knowledge of the craft from generation to generation. They carry this tradition with them as they work, telling their stories with every knot of each textile they weave.

Artisans can easily spend months, sometimes  years, on these pieces, and often as they raise children and run households.
